Lucy Ashworth-Clifford

Wide player Lucy Ashworth-Clifford joined Celtic from English Championship side Lewes ahead the 2022/23 season on a two-year deal.

Ashworth-Clifford boasts pace and versatility and offers both attacking and defensive options for Fran Alonso’s arsenal, along with experience from the competitive Championship division.  

Coming through both Manchester systems before travelling to the States to study in Texas and play for college side Lamar Cardinals, the Wigan native hopes to add silverware and Champions League football to her CV in her time in the Hoops.

After spending over a year out through injury, the winger returned to action in January 2024 against Montrose.
