Nicolas Kühn

Nicolas Kühn arrived at Celtic as the first signing of 2024, with the German-born winger arriving on a five-and-a-half-year contract.

Joining from the Austrian side SK Rapid Wien, the 24-year-old started his career in the youth academies of St Pauli, Hannover, RB Leipzig and Ajax.

He later joined Bayern Munich playing for the club’s second side, but he made his name at Rapid Wien after joining in 2022.

The winger made his debut for the Celts when he came on as a sub against Ross County in January 2024 and one month later scored his first goal during a 1–1 draw against Aberdeen.

During the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign the winger scored three goals, helping the Hoops to the League and Scottish Cup double.

Having played for Germany for every age group from under 15 to under 20, often captaining the sides, Kuhn was also the recipient of the Fritz Walter Medal in 2019, which is awarded to the top German youth talent.
