TONY MOWBRAY is under no illusion as to how tough this weekend's Scottish Cup tie against Kilmarnock will be, with the recent 1-0 league defeat at Rugby Park still fresh in his mind. But the Celtic boss says that his side will approach the game in a confident frame of mind, particularly after last Sunday's victory over Falkirk.

He said: “Every season we set out to win every competition we’re in. The Scottish Cup comes around this weekend and it’s another game for us that we have to go and try and win.

“Kilmarnock are a very good, competitive side and last time out we didn’t take our opportunities so we paid for that. Hopefully we will take any chances that come our way this weekend and have a good day.

“It’s important, because of the expectations at this club, to win trophies every season and the expectations this Saturday will be no different.

“This weekend, we’ll be striving to take another step closer to a cup final so it’s important we get the win against a decent side who will make life difficult for us.

“In cup competitions, if you have a bad day then you’re out and but we’ll go there focused and treat it like any other game.”

Dutch defenders Glenn Loovens and Jos Hooiveld are both back in training and could be in contention for Saturday’s Active Nation Scottish Cup tie against Kilmarnock.

Marc-Antoine Fortune looks set to be in the squad after coming through a training session unscathed, while Diomansy Kamara and Thomas Rogne are still out with hamstring injuries.
