Closure of London Rd
Strathclyde Police advise that London Rd, between Fielden St (next to Police Office) and Abercromby St (west of Bridgeton Cross) is closed both east and westbound due to an unsafe building.
Diversion routes at this time are as follows
• Traffic travelling east, from the City will be diverted either north onto Abercromby St towards Gallowgate or south onto Arcadia St
• Traffic travelling west towards the City Centre will be diverted south onto Dunn St or north towards Gallowgate.
It is anticipated that Bridgeton Railway Station may also close.
Fans travelling to the stadium are asked to allow additional time for their journey and follow the directions of the Police.
Barrowfield Street closed to pedestrians
With effect from 24th September 2011
Due to tthe ongoing construction of the East End Regeneration Route, Barrowfield Street will now be closed to pedestrian traffic. Please refer to the map below for the alternate route.
Davaar St Coach Park
With effect from 6th April 2011
Due to the ongoing construction of the East End Regeneration Route access/egress to the Davaar Street Coach Park will only be permitted via Davaar Street and its junction with the realinged London Road.
No access will be permitted from Fileden St at its junction with Barrowfield St.
Please follow the directions of the Stewards on approching the coach park at changes are made to the access/egress point.
DALMARNOCK ROAD AND VICINITY ADJACENT TO THE TRAIN STATION
In order to facilitate works in connection with the East End Regeneration Route at Dalmarnock Station, the following road closures will be operation: Dalmarnock Road between Bartholomew Street and Springfield Road, Mordaunt Street between Dalmarnock Road and Baltic Street, Nuneaton Street between Dalmarnock Road and Baltic Street, Playfair Street between Dalmarnock Road and Poplin Street, Summerfield Street between Dalmarnock Road and Baltic Street and Playfair Street between Dalmarnock Road and Poplin Street. Waiting and loading restrictions will also be in operation on Strathclyde Street between Dalmarnock Road and Swanston Street and Swanston Street between Strathclyde Street and Poplin Street. Alternative routes are: via Strathclyde Street, Swanston Street, Poplin Street, Bartholomew Street and vice versa.
